Reality TV star Kim Kardashian was one of the winning bidders who were involved in the bidding war of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry auction at Christie’s in New York City. She secured three bangle bracelets of the legendary star by shelling out $65,000.

The auction of Taylor’s jewels collection has brought in a record breaking $116 million. It is reported that the auction has broken the records for single owner jewelry collection. In fact, the jade and diamond bracelets Kim bought were expected to sell for $8000.

It seems that Kim has paid a lot to get the jewels of her idol. She said, "If you have a piece of jade, the energy goes into the piece and you absorb the energy. So I can feel Elizabeth in the piece." Kim has interviewed Liz for a magazine. She said that Elizabeth Taylor was iconic and she considered Liz as her idol and icon.

It is reported that Elizabeth Taylor’s $150 million jewelry collection is up for sale at Christie’s NYC. The auction will continue till 17^th of this month and a part of it will go to AIDS relief fund.
